JFGD Rated a Four-Star Charity by Charity Navigator

The Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas is proud to announce its unwavering commitment to financial stability, accountability, and transparency. We are thrilled to share that we have achieved a prestigious four-star rating from Charity Navigator, the nation's largest independent charity evaluator - only one in four charities assessed by Charity Navigator attains this distinction.

Igor Alterman, our President and CEO, remarked, "Our entire team's tireless efforts have paid off. With the guidance of our finance team, Board of Directors, and finance committee, we have strategically enhanced our governance and financial accountability, fulfilling our fiduciary duty to the community."

Charity Navigator has been awarding four-star ratings exclusively to financially responsible organizations since 2002. In 2011, they expanded their evaluation criteria to include 17 metrics focused on governance, ethical practices, and transparency. These "Accountability & Transparency" metrics, which constitute 50% of a charity's overall rating, spotlight organizations that exemplify best practices, minimize the risk of unethical behavior and openly share vital information with donors and stakeholders.

Lance Yeaman, JFGD’s Chief Operating Officer, noted – “Coupled with just seven percent of Federation’s administrative costs, this four-star rating underscores our commitment to fiscal responsibility, sound governance, and transparency. It signifies our dedication to efficiently utilizing resources to make a lasting impact on our community. We are immensely proud of this achievement and look forward to continuing to serve our mission with the highest standards of excellence.”
