Yom HaZikaron is a solemn day of remembrance for the Jewish community worldwide. It is a day to honor the memory of fallen soldiers that gave their lives defending the State of Israel, and to collectively mourn for victims of terror. This solemn day provides an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by families of soldiers and to consider the ongoing challenges facing Israel as a nation.

It is a time for the Jewish community in Dallas to recommit its support for Israel and for the Israeli people, including those who live in our local community, and to work towards peace and security for all. The Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas plays an integral role in building and sustaining a strong and vibrant Jewish community in Dallas, Israel, and throughout the world. The Federation provides resources and support for families, education and cultural programs, and assistance for those in need.

Rabbi Mordechai Harris shares, "On this Yom HaZikaron, we join together in remembrance of those who have given their lives to defend the State of Israel and protect her citizens. May their sacrifices never be forgotten, and may their memories inspire us to work towards a brighter future for all.

As we reflect on the ongoing challenges facing Israel, may we be filled with a renewed sense of commitment to supporting the Jewish people and working towards a world of peace and security.
