Jewish Community Center of Dallas

The Jewish Community Center of Dallas (J), the heart of the Jewish community, provides social, recreational, educational and cultural programs and services to all age groups from toddlers to senior adults. Within its walls, the Jewish community gathers together to meet, play, learn, celebrate and remember what connects individuals as Jews. Everyone, regardless of age or religious affiliation, is welcome. No one in the Jewish community is denied membership for financial reasons.  more

Jewish Family Service

Jewish Family Service is the community's primary source of professional help, support and comfort for individuals or families experiencing difficulties in almost any aspect of their lives. Caring, highly qualified, licensed professionals provide strictly confidential services--from career and employment assistance, to social-skills groups for children, to arranging for eldercare services for family members in Dallas or elsewhere, to 25 different support groups.  more

Community Homes for Adults, Inc. (CHAI)

CHAI serves adults with mental retardation primarily from Dallas (and the North Texas area) by operating small community integrated group homes, with six residents in each home.  more

Dallas Holocaust Museum

The Dallas Holocaust Museum is dedicated to reducing prejudice by teaching about the Holocaust, preserving the experiences of those who survived and honoring the memory of those who perished.  more

Federation/Congregation Partnership Forum

Based on the findings of the Federation/Congregation Blue Ribbon Committee, the Federation/Congregation Partnership Forum was formed this year as an ongoing means of furthering the mutually beneficial relationship between the Federation and congregations. The Forum is currently in the process of outlining goals and initiatives for the coming year that will enable it to maximize its role in community and relationship building. more

Career and Employment Services

Jewish Family Service offers career counseling and job resources.

Our professional counselors provide individualized services for the unemployed, underemployed, and career changers.

Employment Resource Group. This monthly program brings in qualified professionals from industry to speak about career and employment topics.

Job Search Resource Center. For job seekers, the Resource Center provides job leads, networking, contacts, and access to computers, fax and copier.

Services for the Disabled. Our professional counselors assist with skills assessment, training, interviewing, job search, placement, job coaching, advocacy, consultation with family, and case management services.

Testing and Assessment. Our testing and assessment program helps individuals identify suitable careers by clarifying values, identifying interests, assessing temperament, and exploring a variety of career options.
